It's just as well Sweden has never needed the height of its Alpine cousins to guarantee snow, because the resorts in Jönköping County offer little more than a hundred metres or so of vertical. Provided you don't mind it all being over reasonably quickly however, there's some fairly decent on-piste skiing and riding here (at least for beginners and intermediates). There are also board parks at both Bjorkliden and Isaberg, if jibbing's more your sort of thing.
Â
Like neighbouring counties in Southern Sweden, there's more cross country round here than anything else. Isaberg has over 200 kms of trails. Bjorkliden and Mullsjo Alpin have around 100 kms each.
