Halland, in the south west of Sweden, is often referred to as the Swedish Riviera. There are golf courses at every turn, and the beaches and lakes make the place a Mecca for watersports enthusiasts and fishing folk.

 

To say that there's no skiing or snowboarding here isn't entirely accurate. However, it is pretty limited - Sydalpin Kungsbygget is the only real option. The terrain is great for beginners, especially those nervous about crowded pistes, but with a vertical of 80 metres and just one red and one black, more advanced skiers and riders might find things a bit tame.
